| Item YK131 SOLD | Yugoslavia Kingdom GROUP OF 4 PHOTO ALBUMS Group of four photo albums, in all approximately 330 original photos, spanning some seven years (1933- early 1941) and following a life of an Royal Yugoslav Air Force Officer, first as a cadet in an Academy, and finally as an Officer pilot at the outbreak of the War in April of 1941.
Name of this officer -and those depicted- remains unknown (no research to identify any has been done), but included are two original photos of young King Peter II. It appears pilot officer was a member of a Royal Guard during King’s travel from Bled (Slovenia) to Belgrade, 11-12 September 1937 (official railway schedule sold with a lot). First photo album consists of photos relating to life in a military academy, training, swearing in ceremonies, and lastly two photos of King Peter II. Second album: academy graduation, many good photos of officers (and their girlfriends), some family/civil photos. Third album: several period post cards of British and German planes, photos of Yugoslav pilots, air mechanics, and some 15 photos of Royal Yugoslav planes (few civil photos). Fourth album: very good photos of Royal Yugoslav pilots, officers, air personal, planes, and lastly 12 photos described “War 1941”, photos off shoot down planes, and Army movement. Very interesting and unusually large lot of original photos depicting a life of a Royal Yugoslav Air Force Officer, with many excellent photos.

This is non-combat type, in gilded bronze. Medal measures 36 mm, in extremely fine condition.
